GeneralThe Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas within their region.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED preferred Self motivated Good communication skills Ability stay on schedule Problem Solving/Analysis Results Driven Ability to work as a team Role Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes the floors Sometimes using ladders, dust and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dust/polishes light fixtures Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
May also sweep sidewalks Empty trash Clean and stock restrooms Follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times Inspects storage rooms, utility, and janitorial closet, etc.
, for upkeep and supply control Requisitions all supplies and equipment and maintains adequate inventory levels to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment Coordinates repair needs Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Performs other job duties and projects as directed This is not a complete list of the duties associated with this position.
